Garnet Walters is an Emmy Award-winning musician, arranger, and producer with a passion for music, which shows in his playing and compositions. He has been playing the piano since the age of five. He started playing classical music but had an ear for other genres of music, especially jazz. He began playing at his local church at age 9. As a teenager, Garnet studied at the Concordia Preparatory Music School. He has entered piano competitions and received great reviews from musician’s guilds. He graduated from Purchase College with a Bachelor’s degree in music in 2005 and received his Master’s in music education in 2024. Garnet has played for many artists such as Karen Clarke-Sheard, Tyrone Birkett, Mykal Kilgore, Reggie Young, Hadrien Feraud, David Bratton, James Hall, and The Boys & Girls Choir of Harlem Alumni Ensemble to name a few. In 2021, Garnet won an Emmy Award as a producer and arranger for the song written and sung by Donald Stevens Jr., “You Can Change The World”.
